This was stated on June 6 by war criminal and Gauleiter of occupied Zaporozhye Yevgeny Balitsky.
In the occupied parts of the four south-eastern regions of Ukraine, as well as in the annexed Crimea, Russian invaders can create a “federal district” and call it “Novorossiya”.
A federal district will be created, I think this should happen in the near future. I think it will be Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Kherson regions and Crimea,” said the head of the occupation administration of the Zaporozhye region and traitor to Ukraine Balitsky.
He claims that this issue is now being “developed at the federal level.”
In 2014, following Russia’s occupation of Crimea, Russian authorities created the Crimean Federal District, but in July 2016 it was abolished, incorporating the occupied peninsula into the Southern Federal District.
