The former US president does not rule out taking revenge on his opponents in the form of a trial if he wins the election.
Former American President Donald Trump said that if he won the election, his political opponents could face prosecution. He made this statement after a jury found him guilty of falsifying business records to rig the elections, Sky News reports.
“This is a terrible precedent for our country. Does that mean the next president will do the same thing? That’s really the question… So, you know, it’s a terrible, terrible path they’ve taken us down, and it’s very possible that it will happen to them.” Trump said.
Previously, he had repeatedly claimed that all criminal proceedings against him were false and politically motivated. In June, Trump said he would appoint a real special prosecutor to “take down the most corrupt president in American history, Joe Biden, and the Biden crime family.”
We remind you that on May 30, a jury found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 counts. They are all linked to monthly payments to Michael Cohen – a Trump aide – who brokered a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
