Syrsky said that he carried out work in the area of active battles in the directions of Kharkov and Kupyansky. According to him, the enemy is focused in five directions. In addition, the Russians are conducting active offensive operations in Volchansk and the approaches to Chasovoy Yar with the aim of capturing and controlling these two settlements.
As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said, in another direction the Russians are trying to conduct an offensive to stretch the line of the active front. In addition, the invaders are trying to prevent the transfer of Ukrainian troops to other areas of conflict.
“In general, the situation remains difficult due to the high intensity of the battle and the enemy’s widespread use of armored vehicles and the use of a large number of guided aerial bombs,” said Syrsky.
He added that the enemy was concentrating its main efforts in the direction of Kharkov and was trying to advance towards Glubokoe – Liptsy, but was suffering heavy losses and was unsuccessful.
However, now the main task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at this stage is to restrain the enemy, inflict maximum losses on him and gradually advance to liberate our territories. In addition, the situation in the Kupyansk region remains difficult. There, the enemy is trying to break the defenses of Ukrainian troops in two directions. In this direction, the task of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to stop the enemy and force him to go on the defensive,” Syrsky said.
The Commander-in-Chief noted the effective work of the majority of commanders and staff, who are fully aware of the situation, using all types of weapons and especially attack drones of all types.
“Despite the complexity of the situation, we have an opportunity to change the situation in our favor. And the defense forces are doing everything possible for this,” he said.
