President Volodymyr Zelensky, after a series of foreign visits, held a meeting at Headquarters to get all the updates on changes on the battlefield. I heard a report from Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky on the situation in the main areas. The head of state announced this on Telegram.
Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin also reported. We discussed the fight against Russian UAVs “Orlan”, “Lancet” and other drones. The issues of developing our own drone technologies and electronic warfare systems were touched upon. In addition, the Headquarters determined the priority areas for the deployment of the expected air defense systems.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatoly Bargilevich, reported to the President on the preparation, acquisition of weapons and personnel of brigades and reserves.
Zelensky added that the chairmen of the Kharkov, Sumy and Chernigov OV reported on the further construction of fortifications, the protection of important facilities, in particular generation, and the current state of providing people with light.
Officials also reported on energy and protection and restoration opportunities.
Every day and at all levels, this should be given not just the maximum, but the total attention of all responsible officials, Zelensky emphasized.
Let us recall that on May 23, during a meeting of the Headquarters, the heads of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service reported that they had received a lot of information about Russia’s attempt to disrupt the peace summit, which will be held in Switzerland on June 15-16.
