Within the framework of Kyiv and the region, from June 5 to 13, command and staff exercises will be held with military units (units) of the group of forces and means of defense of Kyiv. This was announced by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Pavlyuk.
According to him, during the exercise, personnel, military equipment and weapons of all ground, river, anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage units will be involved.
The purpose of the exercises is to practice combat and special tasks of a defense operation in the conditions of the active use of the enemy in the full range of offensive weapons and the actions of the enemy’s forces.
“In connection with the exercises, personnel and heavy equipment will be moved,” the statement said.
The Ground Forces reminded citizens of the ban on taking pictures and videos of troop movements.
Earlier in May, military exercises were held in the capital’s Darnitsky district with the participation of Kyiv defenders and equipment.
