From this group of people, it is unlikely to be possible to attract a large number of Ukrainian troops, the department said.
Ukrainians who are liable for military service abroad and have “wanted” status on the Reserve+ application must return to Ukraine and exit the TCC. This is what the speaker of the Ministry of Defense Dmitry Lazutkin said in a telethon on Tuesday, June 4.
“First of all, for those who downloaded the Reserve+ application, but the “wanted” status appeared there even if the person violated the rules of military registration, for example, he was deregistered in a city, but not another one. Or he didn’t even register – he left when he wasn’t 17 years old, but now the time has come, there are a number of reasons,” he explained.
At the same time, the spokesman added that it is unlikely to be possible to recruit a large number of people from this group into the Ukrainian army. Moreover, the Ministry of Defense also understands that not everyone will decide to return to Ukraine.
“However, let me remind you that Ukrainians who are abroad, in one way or another, remain our citizens, and the relevant law applies to them,” he added.
Updating Credentials
On May 18, the updated mobilization law went into effect. According to it, all Ukrainians liable for military service between the ages of 18 and 60 must update their data. Deadline – until July 16, 2024. You can update the data in the Reserve+, TCC or TsPAU application.
According to Lazutkin, so far, 1.371 million Ukrainians have updated their data. Among them are 190 thousand women.
