Social network X has officially allowed the publication of porn on the platform. Although there was adult content there before, it was never directly allowed or prohibited.

X has created rules for publishing porn that include mandatory flagging of sensitive content and a ban on videos or photos that “promote exploitation, non-consent, objectification, sexualization or harm of minors, or obscene behavior.”
The rules apply to all adult content, regardless of whether it is created by AI or contains photos and videos of real people. Users under 18 years of age or who have not indicated a date of birth will not be able to view such materials.
The social network will also hide slurs so that users cannot recognize each other’s liked messages. This applies to messages with any content. The Verge reports this.
X updated its rules to allow users to “share consensually created and shared images of adult nudity or sexual conduct” as long as it is labeled and not in a prominent location, such as a profile picture or banner.
NSFW content (erotica and porn) could become another form of income for X, where ad sales have fallen since Elon Musk’s takeover, The Verge explains.
