The possibility to book 100% of military personnel of carrier companies is a strategic and economic necessity, said the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.
Ukrainian carriers must have the right to book at least 100% of workers. This statement was made by the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Transport and Infrastructure, Vladimir Kreidenko, reports Oboz.ua.
We remind you that currently, under martial law, carrier companies have the right to reserve 50% of their conscripts from mobilization. Moreover, such business must be recognized as critical for the functioning of the state.
According to Kreidenko, retaining today’s workforce is critically important for the Ukrainian economy, especially in the transportation and logistics sector. Ukrainian shipping companies “play an important role in supporting local and foreign trade, as well as in ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid and necessary goods,” the people’s representative believes.
“Consequently, the ability to reserve at least 100% of military personnel is not only a strategic need, but also an economic need to ensure stability in the work of companies, maintain supply chains and reduce economic losses that may arise due to the lack of qualified workers,” – said Kreidenko.
He added that having enough workers “guarantees the stability and continuity of supply chains, which is especially important for critical sectors such as medicine, food and defense.”
“Therefore, people’s representatives, officials and businesses must work together to find a balance between military needs and economic stability. Ensuring that at least 100% of military personnel can be reserved is one of the ways to achieve this goal, which will allow Ukraine. to maintain its economic strength and move forward even in difficult conditions,” Kreidenko said.
We remind you that earlier today the representatives of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex, which can legally reserve up to 100% of the workers, contacted the government about the mobilization.
Also today, information appeared that a petition on the need to introduce a system of economic reservations in the state was registered on the website of the President of Ukraine.
