In the capital, KyivPride was planned for June 16 – a march in support of the rights of the LGBT community. The organizers reported that for security reasons it would take place in the metro, and added that the National Police, the Kyiv police and the city military administration had been informed about this.

On June 16, the KievPride March will take place in Kyiv. The last time it was held in the capital was in 2021. “Uniting for equality and victory” was the theme for the March that was proposed by the KyivPride team after consultations with the LGBTQ+ community and representatives of civil society organizations. pic.twitter.com/8HQEJo1ES6

The Kiev city state administration stated that it did not approve the holding of the Equality March in the metro. The organizers ask you to choose a different location, since train traffic and stations will operate as usual.
Separately, the Kyiv City State Administration notes that information from some Telegram channels about stopping metro traffic during the march and allocating money from the city budget for it is not true.
