In the Czech city of Liberec on June 2, lightning struck a park where there were many people. This was reported by the press service of the police in the Czech Republic in H.
The event took place in the palace park in Vratislavice. Lightning struck the ground and struck people standing nearby.
As a result of the lightning strike, 18 people were injured – 13 people lost consciousness, among them five children aged from three to 16 years old, and eight adults.
According to local media, seven adults and eight children were taken to hospital in Liberec. Two people were taken to hospital in Jablonec nad Nisii, and an injured child was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Prague.
