The most tense situation remains in the Pokrovsky direction. The enemy is also trying to attack in the Kupyansky and Seversky directions – 12 attacks were repelled. In the Kharkov direction, the enemy became more active near Liptsy. There is a battle going on there now. This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for May 31.
An unsuccessful attack by the Russians was recorded in the Liman direction in the Tern region, and five military clashes took place in the Kramatorsk direction. There have been 22 assaults in the Pokrovsky direction since the beginning of the day, 11 are still ongoing. Half of the enemy attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were successfully repulsed.
Ukrainian defenders repulsed two attacks in the Kurakhovsky direction, and fighting is still ongoing near Novomikhailovka. Also, units of the Defense Forces suspended the advance of the Russians in the Vremiv direction. The invaders had no success in the Orekhovsky and Dnieper directions, despite their activity.
Let us remind you that on May 30, the Southern Defense Forces announced that the Russian army again stormed the island of Nestriga in the Kherson region. In total, in the South, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 19 assault attempts, of which 12 were in the Orekhovsky direction, where several settlements are located.
