The goal of the coalition is to support the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of IT, communications and cybersecurity.
Spain will join the IT coalition within the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on Friday, May 31.
At a meeting in Tallinn, participants and observers of the IT coalition summarized the results of the first deliveries of equipment to Ukraine and announced new contributions. They also confirmed new contributions of €22 million from Luxembourg, Iceland, Estonia and Belgium.
Estonia’s Deputy Minister of Defense Tuuli Duneton noted that 2 million euros of Estonian contributions will be used to develop the Obereg system, which ensures the registration process of military personnel in Ukraine.
Before the meeting of the IT coalition, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented the DELTA situational awareness system to their partners.
The IT Coalition is an ad hoc group of states within the Ukraine Defense Contact Group led by Estonia and Luxembourg. Its purpose is to support the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of IT, communications and cybersecurity.
Currently, the coalition includes 12 states: Estonia and Luxembourg as the leading countries, Belgium, Great Britain, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Japan and Ukraine.
