The productivity of the NATO summit depends on whether Ukraine accepts an invitation to the Alliance, the president said.

“The summit should be productive, Ukraine believes that it cannot be achieved without resolving the issue of inviting Ukraine to NATO,” he said.

Zelensky added that the Stockholm meeting formalized common political efforts to strengthen the EU and NATO.

“Thank you for your clear commitments on these issues for Ukraine. Today we discussed in detail the issues we need, the need to start negotiations on Ukraine’s membership in the EU as early as June and preparations for at the NATO summit in Washington,” the president. mentioned.

We remind you that on July 9 – 11, the anniversary NATO summit dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Alliance will take place in Washington.
