We are talking about a complex attack on substations and electricity supply networks in Crimea, as well as oil product reserves in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation.
The Ukrainian military has carried out an operation to destroy the logistics that ensure the sustenance of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by Ukrainskaya Pravda with reference to sources in the SBU on Friday, May 31.
We are talking about a complex attack on substations and power supply networks, as well as reserves of light petroleum products in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation.
“First, the Defense Forces launched a missile attack on two ferries traveling in the port of Kavkaz and used for military logistics by the aggressor. Then the SBU drones hit electrical substations that provide direct of electricity on the Crimean Peninsula and in the waters of the Kerch Strait, including ports,” the report said.
And on the night of May 31, the SBU, together with the Ukrainian Navy, attacked an oil transshipment depot in the seaport of Kavkaz. Light oil products pass through it to the Crimea.
“After effective work, a large-scale fire broke out, visible even from a satellite,” the source added.
We remind you that on the night of May 30, the Defense Forces hit the Kerch ferry crossing with ATACMS missiles. Then, two ferries that carried out rail and road transport received significant damage. One of them ran aground, blocking the operation of the entire Kerch crossing.
Today, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the defeat of the ferry crossing and oil terminal of the port of the Caucasus in the Krasnodar region of Russia by Neptune missiles.
