Ukrainian Defense Forces control most of Volchansk. In the direction of Kharkov, the Russian army switched to the tactics of hitting Ukrainian positions with artillery and UAB strikes. This was announced by the spokesman of the Khortitsa operational-strategic group of troops, Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshin, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
According to him, the Kharkov region is suffering from missile and air strikes by Russian terrorists using FAB-500 guided bombs.
Voloshin also said that the Russian invaders had logistical problems in the direction of Kharkov. They lose a lot of equipment that they use for the offensive.
At the same time, Russian troops are trying to continue to attack Volchansk, and are not abandoning attempts to gain a foothold in the city with infantry units to turn everything into a street fight.
“Most of the city is controlled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The invaders combined ground attacks with air strikes to achieve victory,” said Voloshin.
He added that the enemy is using heavy flamethrower systems TOS-2 Solntsepek in Volchansk, hitting the city with thermobaric ammunition and multiple launch rocket systems.
The speaker also recalled that the Russian Federation continues to increase the grouping of its troops in the direction of the main attack Strelechya-Liptsy and the Volchansk region. Trying to support active offensive operations, the enemy is trying to maneuver the reserves, in particular, transfer its units belonging to the 44th and 11th Army Corps.
“Units of our troops are strengthening the defense and keeping control of the Russian invaders… The enemy tried to advance in the direction of the village of Liptsy, but the enemy’s army was repulsed with the tactics of hitting our positions artillery fire and UAB strikes,” said Voloshin.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that the Russian invaders continued their attack operations in the area of the city of Volchansk in the Kharkov region. At the same time, the most difficult situation remains in the direction of Pokrovsky.
