Rejecting the possibility that sabotage actions were the cause of the crash, said the High Commission for the Investigation of this incident.
Iran has ruled out the possibility that the explosion in the helicopter carrying the country’s President Ibrahim Rais and other officials, which led to the May 19 crash and their deaths, occurred as a result of sabotage. This was reported by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, citing the findings presented in the second report of the Iranian High Commission of Investigation on the helicopter accident with the president and delegation.
The hypothesis that the explosion could have occurred due to sabotage actions during the flight and a few minutes before the collision of the aircraft with the mountains was rejected.
According to the May 30 weather report, the current weather conditions and forecast from the flight departure point and the flight team’s first and second destinations “are favorable and consistent with visual conditions of flight.”
“Most of the documents, records and documents related to the repair and maintenance of the crashed helicopter were carefully examined, and no defects were identified that could be significant in the accident from the point of repair and maintenance,” said material.
The helicopter was not overloaded. The recordings of the conversations between the pilots of the flight team did not record an emergency declaration (the last contact with the pilots of the affected helicopter lasted 69 seconds before the accident).
According to the conclusion of special experts, no traces of electronic warfare equipment were found in the crashed helicopter.
Let’s remember that on May 19, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, returning from Azerbaijan, made a “hard landing.” For a long time, rescuers searched for the crash site in the mountainous area.
Iranian authorities subsequently announced that President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian had died in a helicopter accident.
At the same time, it was reported that the helicopter accident with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi happened due to a technical malfunction.
