Vladimir City Hall later deleted the photo, but social media users got screenshots.
The mayor’s office of the Russian city of Vladimir has published a post with congratulations in honor of Border Guard Day – the publication is illustrated with a photo of a Ukrainian border guard. Russian Telegram channels reported this on Wednesday, May 29.
The photo was later deleted, but social media users were able to capture screenshots.
“Happy Border Guard Day, dear defenders! Standing at the borders, you protect the peace of our homes and the hearts of our loved ones. Thank you for your hard work and loyalty to the oath! We wish you strong that nerves, a clear mind, peaceful skies above your heads and prosperity to your families!” – said the message.
The Vladimir mayor’s office said that “those responsible have been punished.”
“Yes, the incident happened, an inspection was conducted on those who published this material. ” said the administration.
In the past, Russian students in Barnaul were given certificates with the flag and coat of arms of Ukraine.
We remind you that since the beginning of the large-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, more than 170 Ukrainian military personnel have been convicted by Russian courts.
