Acting Chairman of the Board of NNEGC Energoatom Petr Kotin stated this during a meeting of the Energy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, the Interfax-Ukraine agency reports.
We currently have 8 power units operating. There are no restrictions for two days, because we took two power units out of repair, but after two days more units come in for repairs, and then, I think, Ukrenergo will introduce restrictions,” he noted.
According to Kotin, the units that are planned to be taken out for repairs will be returned to work in two months.
Earlier, Energy Minister German Galushchenko reported that by winter, all 9 nuclear power units available to Ukraine with a total capacity of 7.8 GW would be operating in the system.
