In St. Petersburg, Russia, a participant in the war against Ukraine, previously convicted of attempted rape, tried to rape a 71-year-old woman in a hospital. Russian media reported this on Wednesday, May 29.

It was learned that a 37-year-old Russian man attacked a 71-year-old woman in a military hospital. He had a knife. The woman managed to fight back and scream, after which the doctor on duty knocked out the soldier’s knife and tied the attacker up with a belt. During his arrest, a participant in the war injured a doctor.

According to Russian media, the full name of the detainee received 5 years in prison in a special regime colony in September 2022 for attempted rape and threats against a 56-year-old woman. He was caught stealing then.

A participant in the war against Ukraine was detained and interrogated by the military department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

Let’s remember that in August 2023 in Karelia, an amnestied Wagner prisoner who returned from the war in Ukraine, together with a friend, killed six people. In March, a mercenary from PMC Wagner, sentenced to 14 years for murder, returned to his native village after amnesty for participating in the war against Ukraine and killed someone.
