The mayor, who urged not to fight the occupiers, received a suspended sentence

Bryukhanov on the afternoon of February 27, during a meeting, called on city residents not to fight the Russian occupiers and said that resistance forces would not be formed in the city, guns would not be given to population.

The court found Alexander Bryukhanov, head of the Pivdenny City Council of the Kharkiv region, guilty of encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but gave him a suspended sentence. This is known from the judgment of the Kyiv district court of Kharkov.

According to the court, Bryukhanov on the afternoon of February 27 at a meeting called on local residents not to fight the Russian occupiers and said that resistance forces will not be formed in the city, guns will not be given to population.

The prosecutor and the suspect entered into a plea agreement on June 11.

The court found Bryukhanov guilty of encroaching on the integrity of the territory and that Ukraine was invulnerable. He was sentenced to five years in prison, but with a two -year probationary period. The court canceled the arrest and released the convict from custody.

Recall that the SBU exposed Russian agents, which include officials from the Cabinet of Ministers and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a large -scale special operation, in which 19 Russian agents were detained in Kyiv, Kharkov, Odessa, Zaporozhye, as well as in the Dnipropetrovsk and Vinnitsa regions.

It was also reported that the Kyiv IT company has developed programs for the occupiers.
