Arefiev, with the support of local Gauleiters, opened more than 200 branches of the Russian bank in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk.
The security service collected evidence on the chairman of the board of the Russian TsMRBank, Ruslan Arefyev, introducing the so-called “ruble zone” in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine. The SBU reported this on May 28.
It was noted that Arefiev, with the support of local Gauleiters, opened more than 200 branches of the Russian bank in Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk. After acquiring the left bank of the Kherson region and part of the Zaporozhye region, the defendant organized the creation of another 27 “branches” of the financial institution of work there.
For the most part, the opening of banks took place on the basis of seized branches of local Ukrainian financial institutions. Thus, the Russian Federation is trying to make all cash and electronic payments in territories temporarily not controlled by Ukraine in Russian rubles.
“In addition, the work structures of TsMRBank are engaged in the financing of units of Russian troops fighting in the Defense Forces, above all, it concerns the payment of “salaries” to the invaders and occupying cost of their “quartering. “Also, all bank payments of local labor administrations of the Russian Federation,” the SBU said in a statement.
The investigators of the Security Service informed Arefiev in absentia of suspicion – deliberate actions taken with the aim of changing the territorial boundaries and state borders of Ukraine in violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine, leading to serious consequences .
Comprehensive measures are underway to bring the accused to justice.
It was previously reported that an evidence base was collected against the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Alexei Krivouchko, who was responsible for supporting Russian troops in the war against Ukraine.
We remind you that the Security Service detained a Russian military intelligence agent who was monitoring the deployment points of Ukrainian troops defending Krasnohorivka.
