The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, will pay an official visit to Portugal on May 28. This was announced by the office of the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousi, on Monday, May 27.
It was noted that Zelensky’s visit is aimed at deepening the good relations between Ukraine and Portugal. Particular attention will be given to strengthening cooperation in the field of security and defense.
The Portuguese authorities intend to reaffirm their commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as maintaining their political, military, financial and humanitarian support for our state.
“During his stay in the country, the President of Ukraine will hold working meetings with Prime Minister Luis Montenegro and will be received by President Marcelo Rebelo de Souza,” the statement said.
We remind you that on May 27, Zelensky arrived in Spain. In Madrid, he spoke with Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. The leaders signed a security agreement between Ukraine and Spain for 10 years.
