Germany says the deal on arms supplies to Ukraine is confidential

Representatives of the German Ministry of Defense note that there are agreements on arms supplies between Berlin and Kiev, but this is not public.

A confidential agreement on arms supplies exists between Berlin and Kiev. It is not subject to disclosure. This was said by a representative of the German Ministry of Defense, reports the German magazine Spiegel online.

“There is an agreement, but it is not intended for the public, especially in the use of specific combat systems,” he said.

The official reiterated the German leadership’s position that Berlin seeks to avoid involvement in hostilities.
