A large-scale fire in the Epicenter shopping center in Kharkov broke out after Russian shelling.

On Saturday, May 15, at about 16.00, the enemy launched strikes from the territory of the Belgorod region of Russia. After two UMPB D-30s hit a shopping center on Saltovka, paint and varnish products, wood, cladding and other goods caught fire. A strong acrid smoke arose that enveloped the entire shopping center. At the time of the impact, there were more than 200 people in the hypermarket. The Kharkov regional prosecutor’s office reported this on Telegram.
As of today, two men are known to have died. The victims are employees of Epicenter. 24 people were injured. Another 11 employees of the hypermarket are not in touch.
Law enforcement officers initiated criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The State Emergency Service reported that at 17.45 firefighters localized the fire at the construction hypermarket. The fire is currently being extinguished.
The Kharkov police department reported that the number of victims had increased to 25 people.
Let us recall that on May 25, the Russian army attacked the Epicenter construction hypermarket in Kharkov with two UMPB D-30 guided bombs. Local authorities reported two dead and 24 injured.
