On the night of May 26, Russian invaders launched a missile and air strike on Ukraine. The enemy used 14 air-launched missiles and more than 20 attack UAVs. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that MiG-31K fighters launched two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from the Tambov region of Russia. And before that, Tu-95 strategic aviation aircraft launched 12 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from the Saratov region of the Russian Federation.
The missile attack was accompanied by a drone raid – 31 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs took off from the Russian Yeisk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia and Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, electronic warfare equipment and mobile fire groups. The defenders of the Ukrainian sky were able to shoot down 12 Kh-101/Kh-555 and 31 Shahed cruise missiles.
Air targets were destroyed in Nikolaev, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporozhye, Khmelnitsky, Kirovograd, Vinnitsa and Chernigov regions.
Let us remind you that on the night of May 26 in the city of Zhmerynka, Vinnytsia region, three four-story residential buildings, seven private residential buildings and six passenger cars were damaged as a result of falling debris from an enemy drone. Three people were injured.
