Dmitry Lubinets emphasized that Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine only exacerbated this problem.
On the International Day of Missing Children (May 25), Verkhovna Rada Commissioner Dmitry Lubinets recalled on his Telegram channel the problem of missing Ukrainian children.
According to him, the purpose of this day is to draw public attention to this problem and the rules that can help prevent the disappearance of children.
He added that Russia’s full-scale aggression has worsened this situation in Ukraine.
“Illegal deportations, abductions of children by Russians, chaos happening in the temporarily occupied territories… All this only worsens the problem and increases the number of missing children. As of now, 2021, the a child is considered missing as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine,” the ombudsman said.
Let’s recall that in April the head of the Kharkov Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov announced the completion of the forced evacuation of families with children from the Lipetsk community.
More than a hundred children were forcibly evacuated from the Kharkov region
