The case was closed. All charges against the suspects were dropped, and the seizure of their property was also lifted, the Public edition reports.
It is noted that there were about 170 victims in the case. Despite the position of the victims, as well as the prosecutor’s request to postpone the hearing, because not all participants were present, the judge announced his decision after the meeting.
The request of Kulinik’s defense attorney is granted and the accused are released from liability due to the expiration of the statute of limitations,” said Judge Vitaly Tsiktich.
It is noted that, according to one of the Maidan activists, Lyubomira Kepler, two of the victims on November 30 remained in the hall. A number of Euromaidan protesters are now fighting, and some are no longer alive.
One of the victims, Sergei Kolosha, in a comment to Public, said that he attended almost all court hearings, many of them were postponed, thereby delaying the process. Also, many Euromaidan protesters could not come to the meeting – some had a long way to get to Kyiv, where the court hearings were held, many went to fight at the front.
This whole mass, which beat people, beat and drove people to Bessarabia Square, to European Square after the dispersal. “She essentially could not help but be guided by one of those who was the boss, and this was Oleg Marinenko,” Kolosha said. “That is, there is no doubt that the Berkut men did some ugly things, to put it mildly. One of the subordinates, Yuri Shevchenko, who was with a shield, smashed my head and, in fact, they hit me in the face. After this, strike at least five times on the right side.
It is noted that the injured party plans to appeal this decision.
Suspect Marinenko was in the courtroom, but at our journalist’s request to share his reaction to the court decision, he reacted aggressively, in particular with a ban on filming him, the publication notes.
