A man returning from the war in Ukraine kills a second-grader. Security forces had to guard the suspect’s house to prevent fellow villagers from carrying out a lynching.
A Russian who participated in the war against Ukraine has confessed to killing a second-grader, Russian media reports.
It was reported that 25-year-old Ruslan Shingirei, a resident of the village of Dorozhny in the Rostov region, was arrested on suspicion of murdering the girl. Law enforcement officers learned that the suspect was a participant in the war against Ukraine.
The student went missing on the evening of May 17 – he went to the store and did not return. Village residents went out to look for the girl 15 minutes after her relatives called for help. A few hours later, the child’s body was found in a nearby forest.
At first Shingirei denied his guilt, but later confessed.
At first he said he gave the girl a ride, but allegedly handed her over to an unknown person, but eventually he said he killed the child.
Shingirei served his military service and upon completion signed a contract with the army. In 2022, he took part in the invasion of Ukraine, but after some time he terminated his contract and returned home. For what reasons is not known.
The media reported that security forces had to guard the suspect’s house to prevent fellow villagers from carrying out a lynching.
We remind you that the permanent representative of Ukraine to the UN, Sergei Kislitsa, spoke about two known murderers who are now fighting with the Russian army. And Putin considers such people as “real heroes” of Russia.
