The media recalled that Ukraine, together with Switzerland, will hold the first Global Peace Summit on June 15-16. Several G7 leaders who will fly there after the summit in Italy are planning to go there. But neither Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris will attend.
Biden’s schedule shows him flying from the G7 meeting in southern Italy to Los Angeles for a fundraiser.
He may also join former President Barack Obama and TV host Jimmy Kimmel.
The news agency believes that Biden has moved into election campaign mode and is trying to overcome the advantage of rival Donald Trump.
