The Ukrainian command brought in Western armored vehicles to fight for the city. In particular, soldiers of the 82nd separate air assault brigade use American Stryker armored personnel carriers. “Military” writes about this with reference to the Ukrainian military.
The paratroopers said they were engaging in battle with Russian groups trying to advance into the populated area. The footage published by the military shows that the Stryker, together with the Maroon Berets, attacked the invaders in one of the houses in the northern part of Volchansk.
Let us recall that on May 23, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, said that after the first minor successes during the offensive battles in the Kharkov region, the Russians were completely bogged down in street battles for Volchansk and lost many attack aircraft. Now the enemy is pouring out reserves in different directions, trying to support active assault operations, but in vain.
And in the Liptsev area, the invaders also suffered serious losses and switched to active defense. The Russians carry out mining and fire attacks on the positions of the defense forces.
