Ukraine managed to mobilize the efforts of its partners against the backdrop of the offensive of Russian troops in the Kharkov region.
During the meeting in the Ramstein format, special attention was paid to air defense, and positive changes in the supply of relevant weapons to Ukraine are expected soon. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Stanislav Gaider during a telethon on Wednesday, May 22.
“I cannot reveal all the details of the commitments made by the partners but I can say that the packages were announced in the context of all eight coalitions, including joint defense, air defense, aviation, artillery, armored forces, etc. “Special attention is paid to air defense and positive changes in the supply of related weapons are expected soon,” he said.
Gaider noted that it is possible to mobilize the efforts of the partners against the backdrop of the offensive of Russian troops in the Kharkov region.
“Their help is coming and increasing based on the results of Ramstein,” added the Deputy Minister of Defense.
Let’s remember that the previous President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukraine has only a quarter of the necessary means for air defense.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized that more air defense systems, artillery, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and ammunition are needed.
