The bill on “changing borders” in the Baltic has disappeared from the Russian government’s website

The reasons for the deletion of the document are not yet known. At the same time, a copy of the description of the bill remained.

A draft law from the Ministry of Defense regarding a unilateral “change of borders” with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea has disappeared from the website of the Russian government. This is confirmed by data on the website of regulatory legal actions of the Russian government on Wednesday, May 22.

“The project has been cancelled,” the Russian government website said. The reasons for the deletion of the document are not yet known.

At the same time, a copy of the description of the bill proposed by the Russian Ministry of Defense remains on the archive.is website.

Earlier, the media reported that Russia decided to unilaterally “change” the country’s maritime borders with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea.

Today, the Kremlin said that the level of “confrontation” in the Baltic region requires appropriate measures.
