Today the situation in the Kharkov region remains difficult, but it is changing dynamically. The occupation army does not abandon attempts to break through the defenses of our units near Liptsy, Volchansk and Staritsa. The enemy is combining ground assaults with airstrikes. Nazar Voloshin, speaker of the OSUV “Khortitsa”, announced this on May 21 during a telethon.
The occupiers use aviation precisely to launch missile and bomb attacks on Kharkov and other populated areas in the region, the military man said.
Voloshin noted that the number of battles in the Kharkov region has halved compared to the previous day – the invaders carried out 83 attacks yesterday, and by morning, five military clashes had already occurred.
According to him, the Russians want to capture Volchansk and go to the White Well to launch an offensive to the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian defenders are trying to push out the invaders in the direction of the village of Glubokoe and in the Volchansk area.
Let us recall that on May 20, the head of the Kharkov OVO Oleg Sinegubov stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces stabilized the front line in the north of the Kharkov region and did not allow the advance of the Russian army in the Lipetsk and Slobozhansky directions.
