The American government last week transferred equipment to Ukraine to restore the network: 50 voltage transformers, nine current transformers and 80 insulators. This will allow for quick repairs. US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced this on the social network X on May 21.
To help power engineers carry out urgent repair work on the Kharkov power grid, damaged as a result of missile attacks and drone attacks by Russia, the message says.
Let us recall that on May 20, Austrian Climate Protection Minister Leonor Gewessler announced the allocation of 5 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, which should go towards “at least making the restoration” of the energy infrastructure a little easier.
Lithuania will also help Ukraine restore its energy network. Kyiv was promised to transfer equipment from its thermal power plants and nuclear power plants, namely the power equipment of the decommissioned thermal power plant in Vilnius and the nuclear power plant in Ingalina. The Lithuanians also promised a 30 kW transformer.
