The Austrian Ministry of Climate Protection has decided to allocate five million euros to the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine. The money should be used to “at least make the recovery a little easier.” This was stated by Austrian Climate Protection Minister Leonor Gewessler, Der Standard reports.
As a neutral country, Austria is also obliged to take the side of humanity in this war, she noted.
It is reported that the allocated money will be distributed in Ukraine through the Energy Community and used to purchase urgently needed spare parts, generators and repair of power lines.
Let us recall that Lithuania promised to send Ukraine equipment from its thermal power plants and nuclear power plants, namely, power equipment from the decommissioned thermal power plant in Vilnius and the nuclear power plant in Ingalina. A 30 kW transformer will also be given to Ukraine.
