The aggressor’s manual tried to find out the geolocation of air defense anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations protecting the sea area and the coast of the southern region. The spy’s special attention area also included telecommunications facilities in the Odessa region. The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this on May 20 in Telegram.
It turned out that the attacker was acting under the cover of the head of a local company that employs sailors on fishing and merchant ships. The agent purposefully traveled around the region and secretly recorded locations of possible deployment of defense forces. He sent text messages and marks on Google maps to Russian intelligence services.
The SBU claims that they exposed the Russian agent in a timely manner because the enemy was planning to carry out targeted missile and drone strikes on air defense targets.
The attacker was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces life imprisonment.
Let us recall that on May 17, the military counterintelligence of the Security Service detained an FSB agent in the Kharkov region who was preparing a series of missile and bomb attacks on the combat positions of the Defense Forces protecting the region from a new Russian offensive.
