50 projects were approved for the repair and construction of shelters, mainly in the eight front-line and border regions.
The Ministry of Science and Education has approved a list of projects that will receive government funding for major repairs or construction of shelters in general secondary education institutions. The press service of the ministry reported this on Monday, May 20.
It was reported that 108 applications were submitted through the Dream platform, taking into account the position of regional administrations, and 50 projects were approved for the repair and construction of shelters, mainly in the eight front-line and border regions.
The total value of projects approved by the Ministry of Education and Science is UAH 2.19 billion.
Approved projects include:
Kharkov region – construction of 5 anti-radiation shelters and storage facilities and major repair of 1 anti-radiation shelter;
Dnepropetrovsk Region – construction of 6 anti-radiation shelters and storage facilities and major repairs of 2 dual-use structures;
Zaporozhye region – construction of 5 anti-radiation shelters;
Chernihiv region – construction of 5 and repair of 2 anti-radiation shelters;
Nikolaev region – construction of 3 shelters and repair of 4 protective structures and anti-radiation shelters;
Kherson region – construction of 3 protective structures and major repair of 1 basement;
Odessa Region – construction of 3 dual-use structures and repair of 1 structure;
Sumy region – construction of 4 and repair of 1 anti-radiation shelter.
In addition, four projects in Cherkassy, Nikolaev, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv regions will receive government funding to complete the construction of shelters that began in 2023, according to the terms of the subvention, the shelters that it should have about 40% readiness.
“The estimates for projects in individual regions are below the amount allocated by the government, so in the near future communities will be able to submit their projects within the limits of additional recruitment for a subvention and receive approval from the OBA and consideration by the commission,” the ministry added.
