A graduate of the Castleton campus of the University of Vermont has earned universal love thanks to his special friendliness.
The University of Vermont has awarded an honorary doctorate to the student’s beloved cat Max. This was reported by Huffpost on Saturday, May 18.
It is stated that the cat received his degree for “hunting rats and being popular with students.”
It indicates that the cat is not homeless. He lives with his family in a building near the main entrance to campus.
“He came to campus one day and just decided to stay. And the students loved him,” said a student.
The cat has been on campus for nearly four years, and students are excited when they see him. They hugged Max and took a selfie with him. He likes to hang out with newbies.
“With strong approval from the faculty, the Board of Trustees awarded Max Doe the prestigious title of Doctor of Scavenger Science, with all the benefits of catnip, the benefits of a scratching post, and the responsibilities that come with of this,” the university wrote on its website.
The “battle cat” Shaiba and her “dad,” Ukrainian military man Alexander Lyashuk, also wore embroidered shirts.
