During Ukrainian-Russian negotiations in March 2022 in Turkish Istanbul, a “voluminous document signed by the head of the Ukrainian delegation” was allegedly signed. The dictator also accused Kyiv of withdrawing from the negotiation process. Moscow is “ready for dialogue.” He stated this on May 17 during a press conference in the Chinese city of Harbin.
The dictator also said that Moscow will not agree to negotiations based on Zelensky’s peace formula.
Ukraine wanted to gain an advantage on the battlefield, to achieve a strategic position, but it didn’t work out, well, now here are our conditions. Did they fall from an oak tree, or what? Why on earth? Of course, we will proceed from the realities that are developing on earth,” he noted.
Putin also mentioned the Peace Summit, which is to be held in Switzerland in June. According to him, the aggressor country “must understand with whom it can deal in Ukraine and whom it can trust.”
Let us recall that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on May 17 that Western partners are not pushing Ukraine towards peace negotiations with Russia. He also emphasized that before communication with Moscow, a detailed plan should be created, agreed upon by the whole world.
