The Russian oil refinery in Tuapse has stopped its operations as a result of the night attack by Ukrainian drones.
As a result of a nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones on an oil refinery in Russian Tuapse, a liquefied petroleum gas production facility was damaged. Therefore, the plant suspended its work, Reuters wrote.
“The burning of liquefied hydrocarbon gas is indicated by the absence of black smoke during the fire,” the source said.
According to him, from a technical point of view, it is possible to bypass the installation of liquefied gas and restart the refinery in the near future.
“The LPG section can be bypassed and the main processing can continue, part of the gas can be left in the oil until the maximum level of saturated vapor pressure, and the other part can be used for our own needs – in the factory’s furnaces ,” the Reuters source added.
The Tuapse oil refinery is one of the largest plants in Russia. It was first attacked by SBU drones on January 25. It took the Russians three months to repair the plant. At the end of April, the refinery began operating again.
We remind you that tonight the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate attacked targets on Russian territory with hundreds of drones. So, in Tuapse, drones hit oil refineries, and in Novorossiysk and Sevastopol, they hit port infrastructure.
In particular, for the second time this year, SBU drones “visited” the Tuapse oil refinery, which the Russians began to restore after the previous attack.
