Over the past year, Ukraine’s Naftogaz has launched 86 new wells, and seven more since the beginning of this year, the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal set the task of the NAC Naftogaz of Ukraine increase gas production to 15 billion cubic meters by 2024. This was discussed at the government meeting, Szmigal said.
“The task that is directly related to our energy independence and sustainability is to increase the production of energy resources. First of all, we are talking about the production of gas,” said the prime minister.
Shmigal reported this last year Naftogaz launched 86 new wells, and seven more since the beginning of this year.
“It is important that the company has achieved the highest production for the corresponding period in the last two years. The target for 2024 is Naftogaz – to reach the production of about 15 billion cubic meters of gas,” said Szmigal.
Recently it was reported that two powerful gas wells appeared in Ukraine. In total, the wells produce 390 thousand cubic meters of gas per day – 270 thousand cubic meters and 120 thousand cubic meters, respectively.
