At least, this is what follows from the message of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the statement, 51 kamikaze drones were destroyed or intercepted over the territory of Crimea, 44 drones over the Krasnodar region, six more drones were shot down or intercepted in the Belgorod region and one over Kursk, the Muscovite lying department claims.
In the Krasnodar Territory, Novorossiysk and Tuaps came under attack.
The so-called governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev, said at night that during the attack on Novorossiysk, more than 10 drones were suppressed and local fires occurred.
The telegram channel “Caution, News” claims that more than 30 explosions were heard during the massive attack on the city.
Shots and explosions have been heard since three o’clock in the morning. At four in the morning the air raid siren was turned on,” a local resident told the channel. “There are still shots and explosions, and now it’s five in the morning.”
The air raid signal in Novorossiysk was canceled only after 7.00. Until this time, public transport had not started operating, and city residents were asked not to leave their homes “neither for school nor for work.”
The authorities did not say what the purpose of the attack in Novorossiysk was. The Astra telegram channel claims that after the explosions the port was de-energized.
In another Black Sea city in the Krasnodar region, drones attacked the Tuapse oil refinery, which has been repeatedly targeted by drones, as well as other oil refining facilities in Russia. Eyewitnesses filmed a video of a drone crash and a fire on the territory of the plant.
There were two drones in total; as a result of the fall of one of them, a fire occurred on the territory of the oil refinery; there were no casualties, the operational headquarters of the regional administration reported. The fire has been localized but not yet extinguished.
In occupied Sevastopol, classes in schools and kindergartens were canceled due to rolling power outages, since the Sevastopol substation was damaged after a massive attack on the city, according to a statement by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev (Russia seized Ukrainian Crimea in 2014). Repairs need at least a day.
In the village of Zhovtnevy, located near Belgorod, a woman and her four-year-old son died, said Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. According to him, a kamikaze drone attacked a car in which there were a driver and three passengers.
Ukraine has not officially commented on these statements.
