The war in Ukraine has exacerbated existing problems in the civil service, one of which is a critical shortage of qualified personnel.
Because of the war in Ukraine, the civil service has problems, in particular, there are not enough people. This was stated by the head of the National Agency for Civil Service, Natalya Alyushina, the press service of the agency reports.
“We have a great lack of specialists. At the moment, this problem is observed in state bodies and local governments. Consequently, among the main priorities of the National Agency remains the reform of the payment system for civil servants ,” he says.
The agency’s goal is to attract qualified personnel and retain them through competitive salaries.
“We are also working on the implementation of the service law in local government bodies. In addition, an important task is the continuation of the competitive procedure for civil service positions,” said Alyushina.
At the same time, the head of NAGS mentioned the importance of working with young people and attracting them to public service.
Earlier it was reported that there are more than 111 thousand vacancies in the labor market in Ukraine. This is a record figure since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
