A recent US intelligence assessment provided to CNN said Russia manipulated various recent events to provoke criticism of Zelensky’s abilities and his position as Ukraine’s leader, a senior official said. Biden administration official in an interview.

Russian intelligence services have been spreading disinformation about Zelensky since before the start of the war, but recent intelligence shows that “his activities are definitely increasing,” the official said.

Intelligence indicates that Russia has highlighted two key areas of this recent disinformation effort: Ukraine’s painful retreat from the eastern city of Avdiivka and the fact that Ukraine has postponed presidential elections that were schedule for spring this spring because of the war.

Previously, the Ministry of Justice said that Zelensky would not lose his legitimacy at the end of his five-year term in office on May 21, 2024. His power will last until the next head of state is elected.
