On Thursday, Putin will hold talks with the leader of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in a narrow and broad format, as well as a tete-a-tete over tea.
Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin arrived in China on the evening of Wednesday, May 15, where he will meet with the country’s leader Xi Jinping, the Kremlin press service and Meduza reported.
It was noted that Putin plans to visit the cities of Beijing and Harbin in two days.
This is Putin’s first trip abroad after his so-called re-election to office.
During a visit to Beijing on May 16, Putin will hold talks with Xi Jinping in narrow and broad formats, as well as tete-a-tete over tea and in the 1+4 format. Putin’s assistant Yuri Ushakov reported this at a briefing in Moscow.
He emphasized that “the most important thing in China is to drink tea face to face.”
Let’s recall that in early May, Chinese leader Xi Jinping completed his first European tour since 2019 (since the pre-Covid era), where he also visited France, Serbia and Hungary.
