Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot by a 71-year-old man from the city of Levice. This was reported by Dennik N on Wednesday, May 15.

It was later learned that Fico had been taken by helicopter to the Roosevelt Hospital in Banska Bystrica. He was taken on a stretcher to the intensive care unit. The officer is in serious condition.
