French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu said he signed a second batch of Aster missiles to be transferred to Ukraine.
France is preparing new military aid for Ukraine, in particular missiles for the SAMP/T air defense system. This is what French Armed Forces Minister Sebastian Lecornu said in parliamentary hearings, Reuters news agency reports.
Paris will transfer to Kyiv a new batch of Aster 30 surface-to-air missiles for previously delivered SAMP/T complexes.
According to him, he signed the second batch of Aster missiles. Thus, the SAMP/T systems transferred by France along with Italy will be able to continue to operate and destroy Russian missiles.
Earlier, Radio France Internationale said France would supply Ukraine with more long-range Scalp cruise missiles, but it would not exhaust its own strategic missile reserves.
As you know, this is the second time that Paris has given such weapons to Ukraine. The first batch was used mainly in the Black Sea. So, in September, as a result of a powerful missile attack, two ships in a dry dock in the port of Sevastopol were destroyed.
