US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated this during a speech at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, who arrived today, May 14, on a visit to Kyiv, the RBC-Ukraine agency reports.
When we host the Washington Summit in July, we will take tangible steps to enhance NATO’s role in building resilient, capable Ukrainian forces while supporting ongoing reforms that integrate Ukraine into the Alliance, he said.
Blinken stressed that all these measures will ensure Ukraine’s accession to NATO, and the process itself should be fast and smooth. He added that this would still require meeting the conditions for entry, and NATO member countries themselves would have to agree to it.
