Ukrainergo introducing emergency power outages across Ukraine due to energy system deficiencies. The company’s press service reported this on Tuesday, May 14.

“Today, May 14, from 21:00 to 24:00 Ukrainergo forced to introduce controlled emergency shutdowns in all regions of Ukraine. The reason is a large power shortage in the system as a result of Russia’s shelling and increased consumption due to cold weather,” the report said.

It is noted that on Wednesday, May 15, for industrial consumers, electricity limitation schedules will be in effect throughout the day – from 00:00 to 24:00.

Let’s recall that the last time Russian troops attacked electricity generation and transmission facilities in six regions of Ukraine.

According to the executive director of the energy company DTEK Dmitry Sakharuk, the Russians started firing again at the power units that the power engineers had put back into operation after the previous major attacks.

Ukraine is forced to import a record amount of electricity from European countries due to the difficult situation in the energy system.
