The Ukrainian defense forces will be able to strengthen their positions and stabilize the front in the Kharkov region within three to four days. However, the Russian invaders can strike from one more direction – towards the Sumy region. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, stated this in an interview with The New York Times.
According to him, the goal of the Russians in the northeast was to sow panic and confusion in the region. And the task of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to stabilize the line, and then begin to push the Russians back across the border.
Budanov also noted that in the Kharkov region the situation is approaching critical. The actions of the occupiers in the Kharkov region are aimed at stretching the reserves of Ukrainian forces and distracting them from participating in hostilities in other places.
The situation is on the brink. Every hour the situation is getting closer to critical,” said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Let us remind you that the Institute for the Study of War believes that during the attack on the Kharkov region, the invaders are probably planning to create a 10-kilometer “buffer zone” in the border zone, which will simultaneously bring the invaders closer to Kharkov within the range of cannon artillery.
